Bringing your puppy home
New Pet supply list and what you need to know?

#1 Puppy-proof your home:
Raising a puppy is like raising small children, they get into everything! Some of what they get into can be hazardous to their health or to your possessions. You can make life safer for the puppy and your furniture by getting rid of hazards and temptations ahead of time.
Pick up all small items, vacuum the floors they will find the smallest of items to chew. Absolutely everything must be thoroughly investigated. A Puppy will be most attracted to the things he should not have — electrical cords, beads, your brand new shoes, etc.

#2 Have a safe stay area:
Install a baby gate, playpen or keep the doors to those rooms closed. When Introducing them to your home its best to start in a smaller area playpen are great for this. They can allow the puppy to be safe in a smaller place as he/she gets use to the home.

#3 Visit Your Vet
Make an appointment with your veterinarian to give the puppy a complete checkup within 48 hours of you receiving your puppy.
How to Choose a Vet
Ask your friends and family if they can recommend a vet.
Look for a vet who specializes in your type of pet,
particularly of you own breed.
Meet a potential vet and the office staff prior to your first appointment. Ask to take a tour. This way you will know if your personalities mesh well and if you feel good about the vet’s office.
Find out about what a potential vet charges, as well as payment methods available to make sure this works for you.
Ask a potential vet how he or she feels about things that are important to you, such as feeding and health risks, to make sure you are on the same page.
WARNING!!! Do NOT take your puppy outside of it’s kennel while at the vet until it’s time for the vet to examine him/her. Do NOT risk your puppy’s health just because someone wants to touch them. Viruses such as Parvo or others can hit fast and your baby can crash within 3-10days,
Please don’t risk it!!!
